Employee
Assistance
Program
Employee Matters helps organisations implement an EAP (Employee Assistance Program).
An EAP is a professional and confidential service paid for by an employer. It is there on an ongoing basis to assist employees if they are experiencing any personal or work-related difficulties. Our team is able to coordinate this service for you either as a part of our broader HR services, or as an independent offering.
EAP FAQ's
What is an EAP?
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an employee benefit, fully funded by the employer and designed to assist your employees to understand and overcome a broad range of life and work issues in order to remain focused and productive when at work. The program helps employees find solutions or strategies to return to optimal performance and minimise disruption to the organisation. Typically EAP is used over the phone or sometimes video calls and access is also available online to many tools and relevant articles. The EAP also provides crisis intervention and consultancy services to support employers in their duty of care for their employees.
Why Provide an EAP?
These programs help promote positive organisational behaviour, enhance employee well-being and improve workplace productivity.
Are the sessions confidential?
All services are completely confidential and focus on enhancing the individual’s mental health and general wellbeing. The Employer will know that the EAP has been used, but not by whom.
How Cost Effective is an EAP?
EAPs are implemented with an expectation that the benefits to the business will include increased productivity, reduced sick leave, healthier and happier workplace relationships and lower staff turnover; all such benefits subsequently leading to increased profitability.
How can we help?
Employee Matters can help you implement an EAP so you can offer access to a high-quality, short-term, professional and fully confidential counselling service for your employees and their immediate family to make use of, to deal with personal and/or work-related issues. The service is available to them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
